<original post>

I'm listening to Big L International web radio & they've just played
The Rolling Stones - Child Of The Moon

Johnny Boy - You Are The Generation That Bought More Shoes and you Get What You Deserve

I keep forgetting this exists (facepalm) then rediscovering it - still great.

Memories of Urban75  & reading about Offline, and the credit crunch...
I had a varied lot of LPs for Christmas and have play-tested them all. They were;

POB 1977 European press
POB 1977 Japanese press
Lindsey Buckingham Anthology 6 LP Box Set
Nirvana - From The Muddy Banks of the Wiskah
Monster Magnet - Mindf***ker
Monster Magnet - 25...Tab
The Glorious Sons - Young Beauties & Fools
Love And Mercy Soundtrack LP, blue vinyl Record Store day release.
The wife and I are also loving Greta van Fleet, but I'm waiting til their coloured vinyl LP comes down in price a little Smile

Wow, that's pretty cool. (I need to get likes/reactions working on this forum)

The Police - King Of Pain
Missed most of it but Sounds Of The 70s was pretty epic earlier, they played Patti Smith* - Because The Night (* or the Patti Smith Group, Johnnie Walker said just Patti, me when he he announced it & the BBC website say Patti Smith Group - iirc it got released under both credits. Think I own both versions thanks to charity shop vinyl. Cool )

and followed it by  Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band - We've Got Tonite (still adore this song, still hurts & his is still the real version, after what felt like years of a cover getting airplay. Reminds me of collage & the mid/late 90s. Now it also makes me wish/wonder why something as heartfelt by Dennis wasn't/isn't on the radio & compilations too along with this & Christopher Cross etc.)

Playlist page shows it was a pretty good show today - some predictable song choices as usual, but they played The Kinks, John & Yoko/The Plastic Ono Band, Harry Nilsson, The Adverts, The Clash, S.A.H.B, and going straight from Kate Bush - The Man With The Child In His Eyes Heart to Richard Hell & The Voidoids - Blank Generation  was awesome.Cool
The universe is trying to make me listen to Muskrat Love (I actually kinda like it even though it's got really cheesy & slightly icky lyrics. Blush )

Captain & Tennille's came on one internet station earlier today (RIP Daryl Dragon), and America's version just came on another one.
Today I've been playing a diverse collection of vinyl:

Brian Wilson Productions (Japanese blue vinyl promo)
Fleetwood Mac - Say You Will
Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway
Pink Floyd - Meddle
eta: merged from 'What song are you listening to?'
